MY STORY

ZAïKA, born Jessica Charland, is a multi-talented performer who has impressed local audiences since an early age. She was born in Asbestos, Quebec, Canada. She had an undeniable passion for music that began at the age of seven, leading to a journey full of determination and talent.

Zaïka had her first TV appearance on Décibel at 14 years old. She left the Collège de Sherbrooke, where she was studying music, to travel to different countries, most notably Morocco, where, at the age of 19, she signed a three-month contract. Her Charismatic persona on stage and her melodic rock voice charmed and captivated every audience. She toured Canada with musicals including Coyote Ugly and Flashdance.

She was young and vivacious, with extensive experience as a supporting singer for several well-known acts.

Motherhood beckoned, and there was a period of silence as an artist.

Later, she reinvested herself with a strong desire to perform on stage. To reintroduce herself to singing, she performed as lead singer in one of the most memorable American tours, The Wall Extravaganza, in 2019. This reaffirmed her irrepressible love of the stage, music, and singing. At the end of 2022, she composed a musical that offered her a new perspective and vision. ZAïKA co-created her debut solo record, which set her career in motion.

In addition to her music, ZAïKA is well-known for her charitable work. Her mission extends beyond mere stardom; she aims to combine her musical career with humanitarian endeavours that will bring about constructive change in the world.
